Update #1:

I was at the photo lab this morning proofing some of the larger format images that will be in the show. The larger format Fine Art pieces are printed on canvas and will be stretched on a frame. There will also be medium-sized framed prints and smaller unframed prints available at the gallery.

Update #2:

This image is one of the largest ones displayed during the exhibit. It seemed fitting that the largest land mammal on earth, the African Elephant, would suit a  large format canvas print stretched on a frame measuring over 4 feet high.

I spent the better part of a day with this female elephant and her calf -- they ate, played, interacted with other elephants, chased guinea fowl (the baby did anyway...), and showed their tender side as they communicated and caressed each other with their trunks.

It was an amazing day. One I'll never forget.   Come to the show and have a look -- and say hi while you're at it! I'll be at the show opening on April 27th between 1 - 4 pm.

Update #3:

I love owls!  They are like poetry in motion when they fly and when they hunt. I have spent many hours waiting to get shots of owls hunting -- many hours -- and most times I go home with no images at all. Sometimes I get lots of shots of owls perched in a tree or on a hydro pole, and sometimes when I'm really lucky, I get to take action shots when they are hunting.

This is a Northern Hawk Owl hovering in place moments before it descended on an unsuspecting vole.  Bad for the vole, good for the owl. Such is nature. For me it was magic to watch.

This owl will be a part of the exhibit -- and it is printed in large format canvas.

Update #4:

The Opening Reception day is here! Elephants, lions, owls and bears are there waiting to greet you!  See you there between 1pm and 4 pm.

Update #5:

WOW, what an amazing turnout to the exhibit,...thanks so very much to everyone who came to check it out.  Over the next while I'll be posting all of the images that were in the show. Some of them are already on this website but many are not.

The show has 1 last weekend to go. On Sunday, the happy new owners of their favourite image(s) will be picking them up and taking them to their new home.

Again, thanks for contributing to the amazing success this exhibit has been!  The turnout was amazing and think that if the weather holds or the sun shines tomorrow, there will be more on the last weekend.

In appreciation,

Tracey
